Jennifer Lopez promotes her new scent Deseo

With her new scent, Deseo, Jennifer Lopez presents a diamond in the rough — or at least, that's what the bottle is intended to resemble. The fragrance is the first of Lopez's beauty projects to reference her Latino heritage. Due out in February, it could generate more than $20 million at retail in the U.S. in its first year on counter.

Five years after the launch of her first blockbuster scent, Glow by JLo, Jennifer Lopez is shifting the focus of her beauty business to complement her personal life.

Her new scent, Deseo, references Lopez's Latino heritage, unlike most of her earlier scents — which include Glow, Still Jennifer Lopez and Miami Glow. It will be launched in February.

Lopez admits that her ride through the beauty world has been quite the education. In 2002, she single-handedly revived the celebrity genre by racking up first-year global sales of $100 million with her maiden fragrance, Glow.

Since then, the category has had a rush of entrants, including Gwen Stefani, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Usher, Sarah Jessica Parker and Mariah Carey.

"The celebrity fragrance category is huge now and it's very competitive — it has changed a lot [since my entry into it]," said Lopez. "I really had no clue what to expect when I created my first fragrance, but like every other artistic endeavor I do, I just listened to my gut and made sure that I expressed myself completely. I was lucky that I found the right partner with Coty — who encouraged my creativity and really brought my vision to life."

Jessica Biel Ready To “Die A Little”

Jessica Biel will topline UA's crime thriller "Die a Little," which the studio has set up with Richard Gladstein through his FilmColony banner and Biel's Iron Ocean Films.

Based on Megan Abbott's novel, "Die a Little" explores how the lives of a schoolteacher and her LAPD detective brother are turned upside down by a mysterious woman.

The novel's set in 1954 in the Los Angeles area, but the pic will be set in the present day. Marcia and Geoffrey Blake are writing the script and originally pitched the book-based project.

Gladstein will produce along with Biel and her producing partner Michelle Purple for Iron Ocean, which optioned the book, found the writers and took the project to FilmColony. Neil Parris of FilmColony brought the project in and will exec produce.

Biel, seen most recently in "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry," is currently in production on "Powder Blue" alongside Forest Whitaker, Patrick Swayze and Ray Liotta.

Gladstein's credits include "Finding Neverland," "The Nanny Diaries" and the upcoming "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" and "Killshot."

Australian pop singing sensation and actor Sophie Monk is as compassionate as she is beautiful. That's why she jumped at the opportunity to speak up for animals by shedding her clothes and posing nude in a bed of chili peppers alongside the tagline "Spice Up Your Life—Go Vegetarian" in one of PETA's sexiest vegetarian ads to date.

As a longtime vegetarian, Sophie wants fans to know that giving up meat is one of the best things you can do to "spice up your life." Eating a diet of vegetarian foods will give you more energy, help you stay trim, and improve blood flow to all the organs in your body.

"If you are going to take your clothes off for something, it better be a good cause," says Sophie in her interview with PETA. And a good cause it is! Not only will going vegetarian spice up your own life, it's the best thing you can do to help the environment and save billions of animals in factory farms every year.
